This is an image inspired by my love of old amusement parks. I remember going to Santa Cruz boardwalk as a child growing up. Old amusement parks had an aura of mystery with fortune tellers and dark rides. This is inspired from the Pike in Long Beach where I lived as a very small child and where I live near today. The pier with the roller coaster did actually stick out over the water. It is sadly long gone and lives on only in memories and photographs.
