This is an image inspired by my love of old amusement parks. I remember going to Santa Cruz boardwalk as a child growing up. Old amusement parks had an aura of mystery with fortune tellers and dark rides. This image was inspired by the Dragon Gorge Scenic Railway ride that was in Ocean Park, Venice, CA around 1911. It was destroyed by a fire the following year. Because it was there for such a short while it seemed almost mythic like a fantasy place lost in nostalgia.
